Gonna enter this one in I Heart Faces “Pet” category this week (8-10-09); while not a traditional pet, we did toss a few grasshoppers in her web and watch her eat. Whether you call it a common garden spider, a golden orb weaver, or a black and yellow argiope, by any name this is one beautiful spider. She spins an intricate web (and reminds me of Charlotte while she does so), and she consumes a lot of critters that I’d rather not have in my house. So, I happily let her spin her web nearby, and I enjoy watching one of God’s master weavers at work.

GROSS GROSS AND YUCK!!!
But oh so cool! LOL These HUGE spiders, I used to see frequently, but haven’t seen one in a few years here. They are MONSTERS with the prettiest webs! They are fascinating to watch! I think I like these so much because they stay in their web, if I can see them, they don’t scare me as much. LOL

That’s an awesome, and gross, photo! The spider isn’t gross, but it’s dinner is pretty morbid!
