I Heart Faces-Dramatic Black and White

Kayla drama vignettte

The theme for the I Heart Faces contest this week is “Dramatic Black and White”. According to Amy and Angie, “We are looking for B&W photos that are dramatic, sensational and/or moody in the way they are presented. Please don’t just enter a typical portrait photo that has been converted to B&W. Something about your entry must catch our eye as being dramatic or moody for it to be passed along to the Guest Photographer Judge as a top entry for them to choose from.” The older I get, the less drama I want in my life, so I don’t have a lot of truly dramatic photos. But, I love the expression on our friend’s face in this snow picture; if dreamy is a mood, then this qualifies as moody. And thankfully, this picture was taken at the beginning of March, and here at the end there isn’t a flake to be found anywhere around! Which makes ME dramatically happy!
Once you leave me some love, you can take the drama on over to I Heart Faces and check out the other entries. I imagine it will moodier over there than a room full of teen-aged girls, so have fun…

I Heart Faces-Angles

Angular anole texture

The theme at this week’s I Heart Faces photo contest is “Angles”. Here’s what the lovely Amy and Angie have to say about the matter:

For this week’s photo challenge, we are focusing on unusual angles. Stand higher than your subject, lay on the ground, move to the side, tilt your camera while you are shooting…do what you need to do to give your photo a uniqueness of it’s own. A unique angle is what this week is all about.

And (of course!) make sure at least one face is clearly showing in your photo entry as well.

I call this the “anole’s eye view”, which is NOT my usual angle. And while he may look like a tiny little dinosaur to us, can you even IMAGINE what we look like to him, especially from this angle? Poor little guy; it’s a wonder he didn’t have a heart attack! Now, for more crazy and unique angles, turn this way and head over to I Heart Faces. Mr. Linky will help you to find some amazing photos and wonderful new friends!

I Heart Faces–All Bundled Up!

Lindsey bundled RAW copy

I think every state in the union, except for Hawaii, has had the chance to experience cold and even snow this winter. And I think that might be one “first” that I could have lived without! It was cold, but spring has been flirting with us, and I think she’ll be ready to tbe “the main event” very soon. And honestly? I can barely wait….

Black and white…

Hmmm. I think I like it!

Just bear with me….

No, really. I think I’ll get this out of my system soon. It’s just that I keep going through my old pics and thinking, “Wow, that would look SO much better with texture!”. And then I play, and then I want to remember it. So yeah… you might have to look at a few more (like a hundred) texture pictures over the next few days. Hang in there… please!

It was just a week ago….
