This week’s I Heart Faces challenge is, for once, NOT about faces at all. It’s about any body part OTHER than faces! And I just happened to snap this shot of sweet Tori’s foot (with her great big smile in the background) a week or so ago. I know everybody loves tiny little baby feet, but little girl feet are pretty special, too. Especially when there’s a little honest dirt to be found…
For more interesting body parts (or if you just want to start singing “head, shoulders, knees and toes” and want some photos to go along with your song!), “head” on over to I Heart Faces and check out the other entries. But not before you “hand” me a little love in the comments… ;<)
Here’s what Amy and Angie have to say about this week’s challenge:
It’s a week of love around here! Let’s celebrate Valentine’s Day in a bright, vibrant, fun way while also spreading the word about a fantastic cause… Go Red for Women.
You must have a human face clearly showing in your photo entry…and the color red.
This week’s challenge is in support of Go Red For Women.
Cardiovascular disease claimed the lives of nearly 500,000 American women each year, yet women were not paying attention. In fact, many even dismissed it as an “older man’s disease.” To dispel the myths and raise awareness of heart disease as the number one killer of women, the American Heart Association created Go Red For Women – a passionate, emotional, social initiative designed to empower women to take charge of their heart health.
Go Red For Women encourages awareness of the issue of women and heart disease, and also action to save more lives.
Find out how you can help or give to this cause here.
Is this RED enough for ya? Made MY heart beat faster… (and having had an EKG stress test at age 50 just a few months ago, I KNOW how important it is for the ladies, who are the HEART of this world, to take care of their hearts–thanks, IHF, for your spotlight on this initiative):
Hearts… found in his icy fingers AND in the strange heart at the base of the tree. I still wonder if somebody in the long ago didn’t carve a heart there… (we’ve lived here for over 20 years, so it would be before that…_
